TMC & SAP Spearhead AI-Driven Digital HR for Pakistan’s Future Workforce

TMC and SAP Lead the Charge Toward an AI-Enabled Future of Work

The future of work is rapidly evolving, and to lead this transformation, TMC Pvt. Ltd. recently teamed up with SAP Pakistan to host a pivotal conference in Karachi: ‘Digital HR, AI-Driven Experience.’ This high-impact event gathered industry leaders to discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping human resources and the broader workplace.

Strategically timed with Pakistan’s Independence Day, the conference underscored digital HR transformation not just as a business advantage, but as a national imperative. It emphasized that a strong ‘people strategy’ is vital for building a smarter, more resilient economy. Influential leaders from business, HR, and technology converged to highlight the urgent need to transition from outdated HR practices to dynamic, AI-powered ecosystems.

Saquib Ahmad, Country Managing Director for SAP Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Bahrain, highlighted a critical challenge: “Only 34% of organizations in Pakistan have fully integrated digital HR functions.” He stressed that for Pakistan to “unlock the full potential of its workforce, compete globally, and rebuild a resilient knowledge economy,” digital HR is key. Ahmad elaborated on how SAP’s SuccessFactors Human Capital Management (HCM) empowers organizations to cultivate agile, skill-based workforces, positioning digital HR as the bedrock for a smarter Pakistan.

Echoing this sentiment, Abdul Haseeb, Managing Director & CEO of TMC Pvt. Ltd., clarified the event’s purpose: “This event isn’t about buzzwords, it’s about igniting a national conversation on how Pakistan hires, trains, and scales its talent.” He articulated a clear vision, stating that “with AI as the enabler and human experience as the compass, Digital HR is the blueprint for tomorrow’s workforce.”

The conference brought together a diverse range of expert panels and insightful presentations from leading organizations such as Engro Corporation, Tapal Tea, Pakistan Cables, and Lucky Core. Discussions revolved around crucial themes including the urgent need for workforce upskilling, navigating generational transitions in the workplace, strategies for talent retention, and the fundamental shift required from purely administrative HR functions to data-driven, growth-focused models.
