JBL Unveils Massive PartyBox 720 and Portable Boombox 4

JBL is about to make your next gathering an epic one, as they’ve just unveiled the PartyBox 720 – their biggest battery-powered party speaker ever. This thing is seriously massive, dwarfing many human children!

Don’t let its size fool you, though; it’s packed with power. The PartyBox 720 boasts a hefty 800W of audio output, ready to fuel your party for up to 15 hours thanks to its convenient replaceable battery. Under the hood, you’ll find two powerful 9-inch woofers and a pair of crisp 30mm dome tweeters, promising robust and clear sound. JBL has also included its proprietary AI Sound Boost technology, ensuring you can crank up the volume without any distortion.

Connectivity is a breeze with multi-speaker support via Auracast and USB-C for direct streaming from your devices. Adding to the fun, the speaker creates a “futuristic lightshow” that syncs perfectly with your music, setting the mood for any occasion. For the performers or DJs in your group, it features two XLR ports, allowing you to connect microphones, guitars, or DJ consoles to truly “bring karaoke sessions to life.”

Of course, all this power and portability come with a price. The PartyBox 720 costs $1,099. While it’s a significant investment, it’s slightly more affordable than some competing models on the market. Pre-orders are open now, with shipments scheduled to begin on September 21st.

JBL also introduced the Boombox 4, an updated version of their popular Boombox 3. This portable powerhouse also features the new AI Sound Boost technology for louder, distortion-free audio.

The Boombox 4 is nearly two pounds lighter than its predecessor, making it even easier to carry for those spontaneous outdoor listening sessions. It’s built for adventure with an IP68 rating, making it water and dustproof. You can link it with other compatible speakers using Auracast, and its replaceable battery delivers an impressive 28 hours of playtime before needing a recharge.

Pre-orders for the Boombox 4 are available now at $550, with three color options to choose from. Expect this speaker to ship out on September 28th.
