P@SHA Propels Pakistan’s Tech: Global Innovation & Expansion at GITEX Global 2025
P@SHA Showcases Pakistan’s Tech Prowess at GITEX Global 2025
Pakistan’s tech industry just made a powerful statement on the global stage! The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), the nation’s premier IT and IT-enabled services body, wrapped up an incredibly successful participation at GITEX Global 2025. This world’s largest technology and startup event, which concluded on October 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, saw P@SHA lead a prominent delegation, passionately highlighting Pakistan’s burgeoning digital economy, fostering crucial international collaborations, and championing innovation on a global scale.
A Landmark Pavilion and Prominent Delegation
At GITEX Global 2025, P@SHA orchestrated a significant presence. The Pakistan Pavilion, a vibrant hub showcasing over 100 tech firms and a number of promising startups, was inaugurated by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, alongside P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed and Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam. This impressive turnout underscored the nation’s rapidly growing IT exports, which reached an astounding $3.8 billion in FY25. The P@SHA delegation engaged in high-level networking, B2B sessions, attended the GITEX Power Summit, and held strategic meetings with major investors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. These discussions were all geared towards integrating Pakistan’s innovative tech solutions into global markets.
Forging Strategic Alliances
One of the most impactful outcomes of P@SHA’s presence was the signing of several crucial Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), set to create new avenues for growth and collaboration. A key MoU was formalized with HUB47, designed to empower Pakistan’s vibrant startup community by enhancing entrepreneurship, market access, and global opportunities. This agreement, officiated by Usman Akbar on behalf of P@SHA and Muhammad Shahbaz Khan, Director of HUB47, promises to connect Pakistani entrepreneurs with international ecosystems, accelerating innovation and economic growth. Further showcasing Pakistan’s innovative capabilities, P@SHA member company CODORA also secured two significant MoUs during the event, led by their Vice President of Engineering, Muhammad Atif Siddiqui, solidifying global tech partnerships.
Expanding Pakistan’s Global Tech Footprint
P@SHA’s Senior Vice Chairman, Muhammad Umair Nizam, spearheaded three international collaborations that signal an ambitious expansion of Pakistan’s IT industry into new markets across continents. These include:
* FLEX Global 2026: A collaboration for the future of work and learning event, set to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, aiming to foster innovation in professional development and skills.
* GITEX Türkiye 2026: A letter of collaboration to explore significant Pakistani participation in Istanbul’s major global tech and startup gathering, opening doors for cross-border partnerships and investments.
* GITEX LATAM 2027: A strategic move to ensure Pakistan’s strong representation at the inaugural edition in São Paulo, Brazil, highlighting opportunities for IT exports and regional tech synergies in Latin America.
These initiatives demonstrate P@SHA’s commitment to placing Pakistani firms at the forefront of the evolving international tech landscape. Additionally, P@SHA member Sybrid and Super Technologies signed an MoU, witnessed by Sajjad Mustafa Syed and Sheikh Abdul Qadir, emphasizing advancements in digital transformation.
Driving Pakistan’s Digital Future
P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed aptly summarized the delegation’s success: “P@SHA’s presence at GITEX Global 2025 has been instrumental in showcasing Pakistan’s tech talent and forging alliances that will propel our industry forward. The MoUs signed here are a testament to our commitment to building a robust digital ecosystem that benefits startups, entrepreneurs, and the broader economy.” Beyond the major MoUs, the delegation also fortified relationships with key partners, including a productive meeting with HBL to explore collaborations in fintech and digital banking, and pre-event networking hosted by Sherdil Cloud. These proactive steps are in perfect synergy with Pakistan’s national digital vision, strongly supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Ministry of IT & Telecom, Tech Destination Pakistan, and PSEB. The collective goal is clear: to create abundant job opportunities for the youth and rapidly scale the country’s IT exports. As GITEX Global 2025 concludes, P@SHA is geared to leverage these newfound connections, ensuring Pakistan’s continuous growth and cementing its position as a vital player in the global tech arena.
