P@SHA Propels Pakistan’s Tech Prowess at GITEX Global 2025

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), the leading voice for Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services industry, recently concluded an exceptionally successful run at GITEX Global 2025. Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, GITEX Global, the world’s largest technology and startup event, served as a powerful platform for P@SHA to spotlight Pakistan’s booming digital economy, forge crucial international partnerships, and champion innovation on a global scale.

**A Grand Showcase: The Pakistan Pavilion**

Pakistan’s presence at GITEX Global 2025 was unprecedented. The Pakistan Pavilion, a vibrant hub of innovation, was formally inaugurated by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, alongside P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam, and other prominent industry leaders. The pavilion proudly hosted over 100 dynamic tech firms and a multitude of promising startups, a testament to the nation’s growing IT exports, which reached an impressive $3.8 billion in FY25.

Throughout the event, the P@SHA delegation, including CEC Members Sheikh Abdul Qadir and Usman Akbar, engaged in high-level networking, productive B2B sessions, and explored international pavilions, particularly those of GCC countries. They actively participated in the GITEX Power Summit and held impactful meetings with major investors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, discussing strategic initiatives to seamlessly integrate Pakistani tech solutions into diverse global markets.

**Forging Strategic Alliances and Global Outreach**

A significant highlight of P@SHA’s participation was the signing of several pivotal Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), designed to strengthen cross-border collaborations and ignite innovation.

One key agreement saw P@SHA formalize an MoU with HUB47, aimed at empowering Pakistan’s vibrant startup community. This collaboration will focus on nurturing entrepreneurship, enhancing market access, and unlocking global opportunities for Pakistani innovators. The agreement was officially signed by Usman Akbar on behalf of P@SHA and Muhammad Shahbaz Khan, Director of HUB47, in the presence of key figures including Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Muhammad Umair Nizam, Sheikh Abdul Qadir, Kheezran Khan, and representatives from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). This partnership is set to connect Pakistani entrepreneurs with international ecosystems, accelerating both innovation and economic growth.

Individual P@SHA member companies also made significant strides. CODORA, for instance, signed two MoUs during the event, spearheaded by their Vice President of Engineering, Muhammad Atif Siddiqui. These agreements are poised to foster global tech partnerships, further showcasing the innovative capabilities embedded within Pakistan’s IT sector. Additionally, an MoU between P@SHA member Sybrid and Super Technologies, witnessed by Sajjad Mustafa Syed and Sheikh Abdul Qadir, underscored advancements in digital transformation.

**Expanding Pakistan’s Global Footprint**

In a major move to expand Pakistan’s international reach, Muhammad Umair Nizam formalized three crucial international collaborations on behalf of P@SHA during GITEX Global Dubai 2025. These initiatives are strategically designed to connect Pakistan’s IT industry with burgeoning opportunities across continents:

* **FLEX Global 2026 by GITEX:** This collaboration outlines P@SHA’s involvement in a future of work and learning event at the Dubai World Trade Centre, fostering innovation in professional development and skills.
* **GITEX Türkiye 2026:** A letter of collaboration was signed to explore significant Pakistani participation in this prominent global tech and startup gathering in Istanbul, Türkiye, opening new doors for cross-border partnerships and investments.
* **GITEX LATAM 2027:** This initiative focuses on ensuring strong Pakistani representation at the inaugural edition in São Paulo, Brazil, highlighting immense opportunities for IT exports and regional tech synergies across Latin America.

These proactive steps underscore P@SHA’s unwavering commitment to positioning Pakistani firms at the forefront of evolving international tech landscapes.

**A Vision for a Digitally Empowered Pakistan**

“P@SHA’s presence at GITEX Global 2025 has been instrumental in showcasing Pakistan’s tech talent and forging alliances that will propel our industry forward,” remarked Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Chairman of P@SHA. “The MoUs signed here are a testament to our commitment to building a robust digital ecosystem that benefits startups, entrepreneurs, and the broader economy.”

The delegation also strengthened ties with key partners, including a productive meeting with HBL to explore collaborations in fintech and digital banking, and pre-event networking hosted by Sherdil Cloud.

These concerted efforts are perfectly aligned with Pakistan’s ambitious digital vision, strongly supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Tech Destination Pakistan, and PSEB. This collective synergy is poised to create abundant job opportunities for the youth and rapidly expand the country’s IT exports. As GITEX Global 2025 draws to a close, P@SHA looks forward to leveraging these newly established connections for sustained growth, firmly positioning Pakistan as a vital player in the global tech arena.
