Zindigi Freelancer Connect Kicks Off Nationwide Series for Pakistan’s Freelancers in Peshawar

Pakistan’s vibrant freelance community just got a major boost! Zindigi Freelancer Connect has officially kicked off its nationwide series, starting with a highly successful launch event in Peshawar. Hosted by CECOS University Peshawar and powered by Edversity, this initiative aims to empower Pakistani freelancers with essential learning, networking opportunities, and crucial digital financial access.

At the heart of this empowerment is the Zindigi Freelancer Account. Designed specifically for the digital workforce, this account offers a comprehensive suite of features: a US Dollar-based account, remarkably low international transactional fees on the Zindigi debit card, seamless global and local payment capabilities, and even an in-app option to generate invoices. It’s truly an all-in-one solution tailored for freelancers and the broader digital community.

Given that Pakistan proudly ranks among the top five freelancing countries globally, boasting over 4 million freelancers, this platform couldn’t be more timely. It directly addresses the core challenges faced by this digital-first but often underserved workforce, from navigating payment hurdles to building sustainable long-term careers.

Ibtisam Babar, Regional Manager Special Initiatives at Zindigi, emphasized the broader impact: “Zindigi Prize has already become Pakistan’s largest homegrown entrepreneurial community, and Zindigi Freelancer Connect is another landmark initiative creating meaningful social impact. It provides 360-degree support to freelancers, equipping them with the skills, mentorship, and financial access they need to thrive in today’s digital economy and compete on a global scale.”

The Peshawar launch itself was a testament to the initiative’s potential, bringing together top freelancers, digital professionals, trainers, and aspiring talent from across the region. It stood out as one of the largest freelance-focused events in the country, featuring engaging keynotes, insightful panel discussions, practical training sessions, candid fireside chats, and valuable networking opportunities. Industry experts generously shared insights from their own professional journeys, inspiring attendees.

The overwhelming success of the Peshawar event firmly reinforces Zindigi’s commitment to fostering a thriving freelance economy in Pakistan through innovation, inclusivity, and strong community partnerships. This is just the beginning; Zindigi Freelancer Connect plans to bring its empowering events to other major cities across Pakistan as part of its ongoing campaign.
